The Cat's Cradle is in Carrboro, NC (just next to Chapel Hill). They do sometimes present shows in Raleigh, but from the schedule, this doesn't appear to be one of them.

based on the schedule toronto 16th, nyc 17+18, carrboro 19, seattle 21, sf 22, la 23 -- i don't see how they could fit a dc show in really.   i'd go, but i'm definitely taking the trip down to carrboro.

 Anyone marginally familiar with North Carolina geography has a rough idea of where Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh (the "Triangle") are; Carrboro would be the one they hadn't heard of.  Describing a Carrboro venue as being in Raleigh is like describing a Silver Spring venue as being in Baltimore.
 
 If you think nobody knows where Chapel Hill is, Durham would have been a better choice than Raleigh.  It's closer, and people might remember it from signs on I-85.

You're buggin'.  Tom Petty is a BAAAAAAD man & one of the better shows I've ever seen.  (And I've seen more than a few.)  Plus Billy Joel my be the angriest white man to ever sit behind a piano.  How can you not love that???
