This isn't on the Police Tour website...
 I got really good seats for the Atlantic City show, as well as MSG in August, so I'm all set.  Though a DC show would be cool.

GEORGIE JAMES is such a huge piece of shit. They only way you'd catch me there is if that broad singer of theirs sang nude BoSS HOG style... otherwise i'd much rather watch my turd as it floats around the bowl

that would imply that we care - a patently false assumption.

The buzz I'm hearing on D.C. is early Nov./late Oct., give or take a couple weeks . . . I could be wrong.  All the shows I listed earlier were up on Ticketmaster as of yesterday afternoon.  It is what it is . . . .

Woah, DMBQ is playing on Friday? Where? I just did a mad check of all the DC clubs where they might be and didn't see it.

 DMBQ's show at DC9 a couple years ago was INSANE. I couldn't get over it. Making it more poignant is the car accident the band had a week later, which killed their awesome drummer.

 ETA:
 FRI 1 Jun WASHINGTON DC @ THE HOSIERY
 w/ the apes

 I've never been to the Hosiery. Hell, I've never even heard of it. But goddamn, I love DMBQ and the Apes, so this is just fabulous.

 So... where is the Hosiery? I can't find anything on the web about it.

thanks le sonick.  if you go to itunes and pre-order ryan adams upcoming album you can get a presale password to their upcoming fall tour, not to be confused with his solo tour of only a few dates.  according to itunes, there is a washington,dc date among 20 or so other cities.  hopefully its at the club!

soundgarden in-stores:

 ARMY OF ME :: JUNE 10th
 After releasing one full length and two EP's, Army Of Me delivers "Citizen", a fresh, young and harmonic new album where you can truly feel the spirit of independent music, where pop melodies come together with rock and rolling guitars, where the whispers meet the loud and noisy riffs. On such anthems as "Better Run", "Walk On" and "Meet You at the Mouth", you can hear how this four piece can deliver explosive rhythms fused with soft pop and catchy melodies.

  MOONEY SUZUKI :: JULY 8th
 It's exciting to hear the influences of such monumental groups as the Who and the Yardbirds being waved all over the record with such youthful exuberance. Overall, there isn't much to complain about, even when it all sounds vaguely familiar. Like the Strokes and the White Stripes, the Mooney Suzuki pulls from all the right influences to make a very cool, danceable sound infused with enthusiasm and energy.
