Are you referring to me? I'm certainly not bitter. I go to all of the shows I want to go to. For me, it's a matter of being selective and balancing my showgoing with my other interests (and not letting it, or anything else, become an all consuming interest) that adds to my enjoyment of shows, and life.

How the hell did she get in your guy's crosshairs?  She's just stating that there's no convenient stereotype to fit women her age into and if she's doing a little better than the rest more power to her.  And if she wants to spend her short windfall on shows, even better.  Life is way too phuckin short not to do what you want to do and enjoy as much as you can and she doesn't deserve shit for that.

 I came to DC, age 30, with an eight year old car, and $2000 savings, no 401K, and that was about it...so you're doing better than me. That was due to poor earnings rather than big spendings.
 
 My advice would be to start putting away some money for a down payment on a house/condo so that you're no longer a slave to the landlord, and so that you can pay cash on a car and not have to pay interest!

Yes I was, but touche didn't mean to offend.  I'm a bit obsessive about music, as it takes me far away from my day job and the people I work with, the job I'm fine with the current group of characters I work with, not so much.  I'm pretty good at compartmentalizing so I don't think that music is all-consuming but it's a major part of what's good about life, at least mine.
