Anyone fancy going to London in October? :o

"LADIES & GENTLEMAN WE ARE FLOATING IN SPACE'  ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL OCT 12TH

Live in its entirety at London?s Royal Festival Hall on Monday 12th October 2009.

The event is presented by All Tomorrow?s Parties as part of their Don?t Look Back series and this special show will feature a choir, string and horn sections and special guests.

It is 12 years since the release of this album set the summer of 1997 alive.

Receiving massive critical acclaim, it was NME?s album of the year in 1997, and reached No.4 in the charts.

Tickets for the event go on sale at 10am on Thursday 19th March, priced £32.50/ £27.50,  and will be available from: 0871 663 2500/ southbankcentre.co.uk/ seetickets.com/ ticketmaster.co.uk

?To tie in with the live performance, Sony Music will be releasing an expanded Legacy Edition of "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space" in October with added content and new packaging.  More details tbc.?

Special guests?  I would not mind seeing Dr. John up there playing on a 20 minute version of Cop Shoot Cop with horns and a choir.

The Dirty Projectors opening for both TV on the Radio shows!!!

Also:

6/6/09  RUFUSTIVAL 2009 with Dirty Projectors, A Place to Bury Strangers
Metro Gallery, Baltimore
(don't know who else will be on the bill...)
that bill by itself is worth a trip out.

I was about to say that the metro gallery is tiny...but it appears this is an outdoor festival :)

not really a "just announced," but the neko case 4/6 toad's place show is now at the national; tickets on sale today @ 5. glad this one's still going to take place, though it would have been nice to find out via toad's place or etix and not randomly on the national's website....

FYI, according to the COMUS myspace, the Velvet show is "with Kohoutek & Fern Knight".

RE: that private farm show:
Summer Solstice PROJEKT Arts Festival JUNE 18-21 in Harmony, MD

featuring: SHPONGLE DJ SET, SKREAM, BROTHERS PAST, THE EGG, ORCHARD LOUNGE, SUB SWARA, JOE NICE, DAMN RIGHT!, SONKIN, WITH MANY MORE TBA SOON!

THREE DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL A PICTURESQUE PRIVATE FARM JUST OUTSIDE BALTIMORE
Tickets Available at:
ihnkenink.com
I'd like to hear Skream spin but would rather it be in a club that has a good pummeling sound system.

I find it crazy that a 3-day EDM festival is taking place about 15 minutes from my house. I'm curious as to how this all plays out. Might have to check it out.

Awesome. They must've just added that today.
