Well, the main character in the book reminded a friend of mine so much of me she got me the book right around when it came out… I have only gotten way more obsessive about all things music so


Now the movie is a totally different animal and while it has its moments I don’t think it’s faithful to the book

I made it through three episodes of this and I've possibly not hated a non-reality TV show more in years. Trash. I don't care how much Terry Gross went on and on and on about how few WOC-owned record stores there were in the interview cycle for this show, the show was total ass.

Can also confirm. I made it through three or four episodes, and it actually got worse at it progessed.

IIRC I watched all of it while I was cooped up on a streak of 10 days with a 102 degree plus fever last year. Really enjoyed it.
