The sad thing is people will show up with this ticket thinking they have a seat and then blame the venue. You can take it to the bank. Artists with these types of VIP packages really prey on their fans. Oh well , many will buy this for the early access to get to the barricade.

yeah, honestly the only good reason to get this 'vip package'
that's actually a great benefit as probably less than 100 suckers (and their Dads) will do this so they will all pretty much get a 1st/2nd row seat

Shows that appeal to the 12-16-year-old girls, maybe there should be a Dad's lounge set up at the anthem
they give you a little GPS tracker you put on your kid, so you can make sure they are in the venue and you can find them
and you go somewhere you can't even hear the music and drink craft beer whilst chatting it up with the other sad dads
also since you don't get to actually see the show and not taking up floor space, your ticket is discounted

How hard is it to hang out by the marquee bar. Nice bar right there. Wifi. Chairs, tables, a few couches? A balcony overlooking the River…and you don’t have to hear the blaring music.

As far as discounted tickets that’s a non starter. The bathrooms are all inside within hearing. And one can only imagine parents getting lost inside etc

Most parents wait outside. When it’s cold I have mercy (and imagine others too) and let them wait inside of the doors for their kids to come out. If a parent who didn’t buy a ticket wants to buy merch for their kid we usually  let them in, escort them to merch and facilitate it. Another thing I and I expect others do is tell parents when the show is expected to end so they can grab a drink next door or whatever.

Some parents definitely do come in with their kids and find a place to sit and use their phones. In front of bar 2 is a good nook with tables and stools
