So are you guys saying the parents that bring kids to shows don't hang with the kids? My kid saw Kesha at the Anthem and loved hanging with her mom. And vice versa.
Not a parent but I assume there's a difference between:
* Mom and daughter go to show together and hang out
* Dad and daughter go to show together and Dad is old and sits in the corner, and,
* Parent and kid plus kid's friend(s) go to show together and parent is perceived as a massive embarrassment who should be neither seen nor heard.
well said from a not-parent
It all depends on the kid
My oldest was 11, gave me the slip and went to the very front of the crowd on her own at the Lucy dacus show (the right crowd for that)
My youngest who is 13 pretty much doesn’t want to leave my side at the few shows she’s attended
The alltingsgo show, my oldest was 16, and pretty much didn’t see her and friends until the end of lorde’s set
I will say FWB hooked me up with a killer box seat at MPP, so not a bad place to be a sad dad
