James!

One of the best live shows I've ever seen.

 Please! [/b]
I thought you were being sarcastic for a moment so was just about to hunt you down and eat your liver with fava beans and a nice chianti....but nevermind....

Do you have their new ablum yet? "Hey Ma" It's probably only their best to date.

I think Hey Ma is fantastic.  If anyone doesn't have it you can get it cheap from cdwow.us  Their listed prices are with free shipping.

My only fear is that they will play the states while I'm in Toronto for the Film Festival in September.

I wonder if Tim Booth is still doing that dance were he looks like he's lost control of his motor skills....he might think he's a bit old for that these days.

James are on my list of "best live gigs ever" too... the times I've seen them they've always been brilliant.

I know they're playing VFest, but how about getting Shudder to Think at the club? Seems kinda ridiculous that they're reuniting and don't have a DC date scheduled...

Can you book an early show on the night of the Deerhoof gig so that those of us who want to catch both them and The Magnetic Fields can do so? (worth a shot  :) )

MF are pretty boring on stage.  it's sorta cool how they mix up the instrumentation on their songs, and they have some great songs, but otherwise... meh.

i can definitely understand why, in terms of a live experience, one might choose deefhoof.
