How about Andrew Bird?  I know he's got a few Oct dates, but no where in the DC/Bal area

Kaiser Chiefs are doing a few shows in North America in November. Would love to see them at the club.

Hey Seth - Richard Barone and The Bongos are playing a gig in NYC.  Any chance you could lure them down here?

if squarepusher tours behind his new album, how about a DC date?

 a double-bill with aphex twin would be extra-awesome  :D

Doesn't Aphex do exclusively DJ sets now?

yeah he pretty much only does DJ sets now from what i've read. I was at the coachella gig and it was just him on his laptop.

but the choice of music was a "history lesson". He opened up with some public enemy and Run DMC, then played older dance music from the late 80s, then some gabba, then the 2nd half was straight up drill n bass and techno. The last five minutes of his set was nearly pure static with distorted screams over it. He also had a bunch of people in animal costumes come out on stage.

the first half was a complete mindfuck because no one expected it to be like that. and he only had an hour which pissed me of.

I am in for the Feelies again, too. Should we stop asking, Seth? How about two nights of Sonic Youth and The Feelies?
