Awesome job at that judiciary subcommittee hearing last week.

Edit: those who missed it live can watch it here.

or the time My Bloody Valentine, Blur, Dinosaur Jr. and the Jesus and Mary Chain toured in the UK. I can't fathom the buzz a tour like that would cause nowadays.
Too bad they dont do that tour again.  Wow that would have been sick.

Well MPP isn't a club per se, but it appears Seth has heard you and listened.

Classic rock fans will have an opportunity to tap into a recession-relieving concert with the 2009 Can't Stop Rockin' tour, featuring REO Speedwagon, Styx and 38 Special. Ticket prices will be available for as low as $13.50 in most markets.

Presented by VH! Classic and Rock Band, the tour begins May 13 in Albuquerque, N.M. In acknowledgement of the tour, Styx and REO Speedwagon teamed up to record a new single, ?Can?t Stop Rockin?,? co-written by REO Speedwagon?s Kevin Cronin and Styx?s Tommy Shaw. ?Can?t Stop Rockin?? makes its radio debut in March and will be available for download.

Is it just me or does it seem like these days bands either end up doing huge festivals or they headline club gigs alone? Once upon a time, you'd have bigger bills of like 3 or 4 bands touring together. I guess maybe economically they all want a bigger slice of the pie...but I remember the days of Aphex Twin, the Orbital, Moby and Ultramarine touring together, or the time My Bloody Valentine, Blur, Dinosaur Jr. and the Jesus and Mary Chain toured in the UK. I can't fathom the buzz a tour like that would cause nowadays.

The Gories and The Oblivians have both reunited and are doing dates in Detroit, Memphis and Europe this summer, I think there are about 30 people who know who these bands are this area.

Somone has got to say it: you know Michael Jackson has got to add a US Tour.  He made the comment "this is my last time performing in London."  Not mentioning the US.  I would love a multi night showcase at Verizon with roughly the same ticket prices.

I'm only seeing him if Fuzzball and Hooter are going to perform with him.

. . . . seth?  hey it's me, walkonby.  now i know you are a man of power, though i'm not sure who in the dc area could wield this much might.  i've asked once before, and yes this will be my last.   ;)  this time the call is stronger: there is the feeling.  it is merriweather.  the call of a venue with a nine thirty connection.  hell, hire thatguy and that other mean looking gentleman (whose name i rudely forget) as part of security for the merriweather gig . . . that would be interesting, though i'm sure a test of nerves on their part.  you know i speak of phish.  in the club on the tour of their mighty comeback.  nice, kind sir, very nice.

50 Cent just got added to the Fall Out Boy show at Merriweather.  I would go to this, but am not going to deal with pre-teens who line up 8 hours before a GA show.  Could you maybe book 50 for a late night set at the club that night?  And maybe bring Cobra Starship along with him?

Also, this has become my most requested.  Any chance for a Craig David show/ tour?

Don't Cobra Starship and FOB have essentially the same fanbase?

I guess it being a late night show would cut down on the teenieboppers but that would also result in an empty club. Fitty's stock has slipped drastically in the last three years.
