I don't know if this Seth's wheelhouse precisely, but it's heavily rumored Conan O'Brien is going to do a live tour... wouldn't DAR be a good venue for this type of event?

Seconded. Not even sure what these live dates entail, but I'd love to see Conan in person.

Of course! The woman has the power. I'm in awe.

Conan at the 9:30 Club would immediately reistablish any possible hipster cred he may have lost recently.

I was also going to ask for Conan - please, Seth?
(NOT saying I want to see them, but for example, the cast of Glee is touring and they boast a five city tour - skipping DC. Same happened w/ the NIN shows. Please start a trend and push DC for special shows?!)
So, yes, please push DC on Conan - he's booking shows in the west but would love to see him at the club. It would be a lovely, intimate place for him!!

Did I already ask for MGMT? Perhaps in b/w or around the two shows below? A special show just for us (as you did with Bloc Party).
May 2 2010  Bamboozle East Rutherford, New Jersey
May 31 2010 Sasquatch Festival    George, Washington

New album out 4/13 and they are doing some special mobile events - but I'm not exactly sure what that includes.

It looks as though the smallest venue Pavement are playing in the US so far is The Tabernacle (2600).

Sadly, it'll probably have to be DAR or nothing.

Or like 3-4 nights at the club?

Edit: Untrue. Uptown Theatre in KC holds 1700.

But Kansas City probably contains a smaller Pavement fanbase than DC.

Bob Dylan actually has played the 930 at least 3 nights...

Back about 1998 or so he played there two nights... great shows.

Roky Erickson backed by Okkervil River are doing some dates.  A DC date would be very cool...
