great bandlive - but even the BC is prob too big for them. only recently did they play the mercury lounge in nyc - theyre typically at the living room which is a tiny space. maybe that venue in vienna (jammin java i believe) is best suited for them.

Oh, I hesitated requesting this as I'm unsure if they are suited for the size of the club (might be more of a BC show)...perhaps with another band? Either way, shout out for Winterpills, dedicated to Jaggy. New album and touring will ensue according to them...http://www.winterpills.com

Once after a Firehose show Mike Watt and I crossed paths in the club and he said to me "Nice Flannel".

Holy crap I love that part in We Jam Econo, when Mike Watt is saying how they didn't even know how to tune their instruments at first, how they thought it was a matter of personal preference:

D. Boone:  "I like my strings loose."
Mike Watt:  "I like my strings tight!"

Cracks me up every time.

May we please have an east coast version of the Bob Mould Band Copper Blue show?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------February 24, 2012, San Francisco @
Bottom of the Hill
 (SOLD OUT)

In honor of the 20-year anniversary of Sugar's COPPER BLUE, Bob along with his band, Jon Wurster (Superchunk, The Mountain Goats), and Jason Narducy (Robert
Pollard, Verbow) will be performing the album in its entirety for the first time ever.

Originally released in 1992, COPPER BLUE is widely recognized as a seminal work of Bob's 30-plus-year career. Featuring the singles 'A Good Idea', 'Helpless',
'Changes', and 'If I Can't Change Your Mind', it was named album of the year by NME and dubbed "thunderous" by Rolling Stone.

To make this even more special, the show takes place at San Francisco's most beloved small rock club, Bottom of the Hill, on Friday, February 24th. It
is a part of the 20th Noise Pop Festival and tickets go on sale this Friday, January 13th.

Stay tuned for more information on COPPER BLUE and Bob's touring plans for 2012.

I'm sure Bob Mould won't forget DC and I'll be there for it.. Copper Blue made quite an impression on me when it came out.
