Orbital East Coast dates coming soon accorinding to their PR company. If I hear anything I'll post it.

As for Iggy, I really cannot emphasize how incredible that show was. The Stooges are pretty much the best band I've ever seen. I saw a lot of stuff this weekend too. Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello, Coheed and Cambria, Elvis Costello, Jesus and Mary Chain, Alkaline Trio, etc. and Iggy killed them all. The Descendents were pretty amazing too though. Just sayin'.

Los Lobos at the club would be nice... was leaning to Colossal Head last night... some great great songs...

I can't stomach going to the Birchmere and sitting down for them...

I wonder if Iggy is doing club shows... maybe he's not and that is the reason he hasn't been booked.. I do remember the 2007 show, which was amazing, didn't exactly set the world on fire ticket wise.. I had either eat a ticket or get like $15 for it outside the club.. I was pretty shocked.. then after that they played a Virgin Fest like two years later I think and that is all she wrote for DC area.. Mike Watt will be at the Black Cat in a few weeks FYI.. one could probably ask him what the deal is but I'm sure they must be asking for quite a guarantee.

My guess is that festivals pay them a good sum. The only other gigs I'm aware of that they're doing is Austin City Limits and a show at the Staples Center with Morrissey (VERY odd combo). That being said, I'm sure that a sold out gig at the 9:30 can be worthwhile if they line up a few other East Coast dates. The Williamson Stooges never really did a proper tour though I don't think.

Colossal Head is a perfect album, my favorite Los Lobos album... I gotta say, their last gig at the Club with Taj Mahal opening was a bit boring, Taj blew them away imo.

It was a mid-week late show, which is just not feasible for a lot of people like myself. I am pretty crushed I didn't just suck it up buttercup and go, but whattyagonnado.

too bad it is just really . . . a benefit for gay people to get a piece of paper that says you are married, but you get no benefits of a "real" hetero marriage.

horray for fake papers that mean nothing except a name.  go adam lambert.  fight for what is really important, including your fame.

and support the ways gay people are still having their lives ruined everyday in this country . . . instead of some stupid fucking fake marriage bullshit that is trumped by the federal government.

Seth - What comes with the different price-points for the benefit?  It sounds like there are regular/Premium/VIP levels ($125/175/250).  What's the difference?   Thx.

General admission tickets to the benefit show are $125, VIP Tickets, which include early admission, a commemorative poster signed by Adam Lambert and a special VIP viewing area, are $175, and Premium tickets, which include a pre-show Adam Lambert meet & greet VIP reception with food and drinks and Premium viewing area, are $250.
