Not sure that I can answer this question fairly as I've only heard a few things by them.

Honestly, not too impressed but hear a lot of potential. They strike me as sounding sort of what The Beta Band may have sounded like way back in their early days. Couldn't really say for sure though.

Would like to hear them explore a lot more Psychedelia and in a decent studio setting with the right engineers and production. Maybe they've already done so and I just haven't heard it yet. [/b]
My All American Girl is great album.  Also, the song Ano Domination from the Fast Light With Radio Signal EP sounds more like Spacemen 3 than any other band I have heard.  I quite like the whole Cleveland Davenport Collective with The Dreadful Yawns, 9 Volt Haunted House, and New Planet Trampoline.

 Winnemucca
 by Richmond Fontaine

 allmusic had this to say:
Coming from the same domain as Ryan Adams, Gram Parsons, and the Flying Burrito Brothers.

I think it sounds more like Jay Farrar, but hey - what do I know.
My fav new find of the year though.

I've been looking Stu. Hard to find indeed. Gonna have to just break down and pay someone for shipping.

Fucker - where'd you get it? Especially an official looking version. Is it that bigyawn hookup?

I love that cover - Wonder if it's Dita Von Teese again - from the same photo sessions as Blackberry Belle.

Glad you like it though. Eventually you'll come around to one of the greatest artists of our generation.

 Here's what I have on:

 The National
 Cherry Tree EP

A fine hold over until the next proper record. There are a couple songs on here that stand up with the best they've done (e.g., All the Wine - which WOXY is spinning)

This six song ep continues to amaze and delight me several months after getting it...

Just found out they are signed with Nashville indie label Theory 8 records and have a new record due out in 1/2005.  Forget Cassettes, whose name seems famaliar, are signed on Theory 8 as well.

Anyways checkout  De Novo Dahl they have three songs available for download, including Memphis which is a tribute to Jeff Buckley.

Highly recommended for those Spree fans hanging out on the board these days...
