i think we can conclude that the Who have definitely been asked to play and they are almost certainly the band holding up the works here.

they may not play, but it wont be for lack of trying.

man that would just be the coolest thing on earth.

Oh, shit! Radiohead must be the band that's holding them up then.

That's okay, as long as it stays away from Fredericksburg, Virgina!

Nah, actually I'm wishing all the best towards the Virgin Baltimore (which sounds like an oxy-moron) Festival. Hoping so much that it's a big success so that we may have even more of them in years to come; albeit, with a much better and more Virgin UK line up.

There's also a big outdoor music festival on the very same day over in Druid Hill Park (Baltimore). Don't know a whole lot about it other than that someone contacted me asking me to take part. More Hoya's crowd so don't think it will be a big conflict with the fans but traffic might be a bit worse around I83 between North Ave. and Northern Parkway.

Although 2 festivals so close to each other may cause some delays with city transportation & such, we wish the organizers of VFest the best of luck and salute them for bringing such a festival to Baltimore as they must feel as we do... that it's a great location! Yeah Sprklqueen, that's it! It looks good. Just such a shame that so many music festivals are all happening on the same day making us have to choose between them.

 -Edit-
Oh, wait a minute! I know what this is. This is the same one that took place in Patterson Park last year. I really wanted to go to the one last year but, alas, again it took place on the same day as one of my Shoegaze festivals.

On top of it, it's also the same day as the Roger Waters festival at Nissan. Now, that is an evening show and you'd think you could squeeze part of one into the day except that the Nissan traffic madness would eat up the entire day portion. But being a Saturday, at least one won't be competing with work traffic so shouldn't be as bad.

yeah, it happens that way sometimes... too many ideas, not enough dates available I suppose. I checked the city calendar & with the permit offices here back in January (when I was putting in for our permit) for other already scheduled events to be sure we weren't looking at the same date as another festival but sometimes, things just pop up out of nowhere.
