I have complete faith that Seth will beat this lineup:

I would go see that. OLP, Sonic Youth, Jarvis Cocker, k-os, Mute Math, Gomez, and Future Of The Left are all fine by me.

Their biggest American hit was Somewhere Out There in 2002. They followed it up with Innocent, which was also pretty big. To be fair, their US popularity did trail off with the stinker of an album they put out after that and their inactivity.

That doesn't seem like too bad of a lineup, actually.

I'd consider Vfest if Jarvis was there.  Sonic Youth is out, with the 930 shows and all, but Jarvis?

Ok... fair... maybe it's just me who doesn't remember anything past Superman's Dead...

I agree. Jarvis and k-os would be great mid-day acts.

Jarvis is rumored to be touring the US later this year.  Seriously doubt he will be on our VFEst bill though, as much as I'd love to see that happen.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think today would be the perfect day to announce the details of V-Fest 2009, if for no other reason than to kill my desire to constantly refresh this page to see if anything new has come in...

Don't we already know that its August 30th at Merriweather, with Blink 182, Weezer and Fall Out Boy?

The rest is just the little details.

Well, I don't/didn't know that it was that definite.  I just thought it was all (brilliant) deduction on everyone's part, but I'd hate to make plans only to find out it's in mid-September or something.  I guess I could try for a nearby hotel room that weekend and rebook if the dates change...

Yeah, you're right.  But it's like those old Hanes commercials:  It doesn't say V-Fest until http://www.virginmobilefestival.com/ says it says V-Fest.
