I got shut out for general admission and I don't want to spend $50 for a $30 nosebleed seat.  The service fee for Fedex is $8 per ticket in addition to Ticketmaster.  How can that ass get away with that?

See, it's all about synergy®. Everything Danny Douchenozzle touches turns to shit so all of his businesses suffer accordingly. He can't field a respectable NFL team; he buys Six Flags, fires the dancing old man, apparently fires the ride maintenence as well, and nearly kills the franchise (and it may still go under); he can't get anyone to listen to his radio stations, mostly because they have crap signals. So he has to snort money any way he can.

And, sorry to say this, but expect to pay ~$25 to park at FedEx.

Or, you know, pay $2 and ride the metro.

From TM.com

Parking:
Parking price is included with the concert ticket purchase.
Parking is not included for Redskins games. Follow highway signs to parking.

--------------------

The problem of course is that there isn't enough parking to begin with.  I assume that if it sells out it will have a larger crowd than a Redskins game?

That's a good surprise. Wonder if Snyder knows about that (one cannot be too cynical when it comes to Master Danny).

yup, since there will be several thousand additional people on the GA field.

Or, you know, pay $2 and ride the metro.

i've never been out to fedex. i'm definitely going to look in to metro, although i can only imagine what the metro station looks like after a game (let alone a concert with several thousand more from the field).

If you guys all take the Metro, who's going to make the "Capital Centre parking lot video" for the next generation?

I totally forgot how hard it is getting to that place, glad I didn't get tickets now.  I'm sure they will keep the metro open for all the U2 fans but I think its like 12 or something.

I'd say it is a 10 minute walk, but I walk fast.

From the Metro to FedEx Field is at least 20 minutes walking fast. I've done it several times. The hard thing is trying to pass all the slow walkers to get there fast...

This is why I decided not to go as well.
Nah, it doesn't close at 12 on weekends! (and it's not just for U2 fans :P) http://www.wmata.com
Although, check the specific times and train service per station at the link above.

If you can stand to leave slightly early, do it. I remember U2 at RFK way back when. It was very tight getting out & sweaty on the trolley after...
