yes - i know his performance at the olympics was ummmm not good. i also was at the game last year in NJ when they lost in game 7. When he's good hes really good, and when hes not .... yeah well hes not.

Regardless, after watching the flyers game on Sunday against a really bad Rangers - they barely got by. Unless the Devils dont show up at all, Im still thinking theyre getting past the Flyers.

Brodeur knows how to come through at clutch times.

did you watch the olympics?

7 one goal games.  Even for somebody without a horse in the race, this has been some entertaining stuff.

They were playing so aggresive, I haven't seen them drill people like that in a while. I don't know what happened after the second.

I wonder if Jose Theodore knows who Tomas Plekanec is now?

That was a real stinger... hopefully we keep the intensity and score like we should in the coming games.

It's just Jose Theodore being Jose Theodore. Talk about career implosion, geez, man. Any team next season that pays that guy 20% of what he's making this year is an idiot.

(Not trying to rub it in towards Caps fans at all -- I still think you'll win this series -- and I can sympathize since the Wings inevitable elimination will also come from their goaltending.)

I blame the soft defense, they were flying through the neutral zone without any obstacles, it tightened up during the 3rd and it definetly helped us out to come back. The Defense was disgusting last night, and our PK was looking almost just as bad. Backstrom still managed to play a phenomenal game though, it was inspiring. Hopefully we can stomp them for the rest of the series.

Even by the shiteous standards San Jose have established over the last half decade or so, that was a new level of incredible. Scoring on your own goalie from, what, 35' away to break a scoreless tie in overtime. Un-flippin' believable.

i think the caps will still win this series. i just hope they get the flyers next round, every game could have 15 goals. i have to admit game 2 was pretty fun to watch though

tomorrow night the sens will come with their all out emotional game. hope the pens can weather the storm

Fun for the 3rd period, we were BBQing and it was just about dead silent until it got to be 4-3. Caps have done this way too much this season... Pumped for game 3. Boudreau has already made his decision as to who will start, still no official word beyond that. At least I haven't checked.

Someone tell the Senators to wake up.
