going to this thing - don't know most of the bands (aside from Pictish Trail, Malcolm Middleton (Arab Srap), and Jason Lytle (Grandaddy), but should be fun!

There will be a tour, and you will probably not attend anyway.

I will not attend this; but I think its fine and not gross. And as between this and a cruise of any sort, this would be preferable to me.

Also, at the Riviera Maya all kinds of wildlife can be encountered at all inclusive resorts, but as cute as they are, they are wild animals. so yes this is a little insane, but I can see the appeal of this package
Definitely only for Julian's America type...5100 sq. ft.!

but to not have to go in the crowd, but have a suite where you could host 10-20 people to watch the show right from your balcony has some appeal

and it's for 4...so really only $875 per person
unlimited food and drinks at no additional cost during your stay too...
and it's 4 days...$220 per day per person isn't exactly Julian's America style pricing

I can not recommend Hopscotch highly enough. Those of you who hate festivals would really like it.

I can not recommend Hopscotch highly enough. Those of you who hate festivals would really like it.

As a citizen of Raleigh I can concur.  It's a great event.  Not even like a festival really.  Ton's of good venues of all sizes, all within a 10 or so minute walk from each other.  I love my little city. 

Then there are the day parties which aren't really part of the festival proper...free shows all afternoon at about a 1/2 dozen downtown venues.
