You ought to start the Sidehatch Brewery
I definitely don't have the skills or the stamina for that

now, if I won the lottery and could convince a good head brewer to come on board...then maybe

whereas if i won the lottery, i'd want to do the brewing - and would bring on others do to the rest, AKA management (finances, sales, distribution, marketing, HR, gov't & licencing, etc).

Lost Dog Alexandria tomorrow...

Richmond Virginia has become one of the hottest cities in the nation for beer in the past few years.  With that in mind, we have partnered with Reverie Distribution to bring some of these excellent offerings in for our next tap-takeover.  Featuring a rotating lineup of beers from The Answer brewpub, Final Gravity, and The Veil, this is an event not to miss!

We will be tapping:
The Answer: Intent to Distribute Glycol DIPA
The Answer: YeahYeahYeah. Happy Days DIPA
The Answer: Ten Middle Fingers Brown Ale
The Veil: whitemiata IPA
The Veil: Too Easy IPA
The Veil: dirtybugatti TIPA
Final Gravity: Spashdown DIPA
Final Gravity: Aurora DIPA

Any Veil IPA > and Answer IPA

Not sure where Final Gravity falls in that comparison, Triple Crossing is probably in between Veil and Answer.

My trip from work to pick up cans goes from 30 minutes to 55.  Trips form the house remain an hour.

Sapwood Cellars is going to see a lot more of me now than they already do.

They're still going to sell cans in Herndon.

They're just setting themselves up for the inevitable ABI vs Moulson/Coors bidding war.

kinda forgot they were public SAM
was at 137 in june of 17...quite a rise in the last two years

they have always been in a weird spot in the brewing world...
but I agree since they are public, what is stopping one of these big guys from just eating them up, now that they have another reputable brand in their stable

my recommendation: BUY! (the stock ...not the beer)

had to look that up, i didn't get into the financials.

so BBW bought DFH for a little over $300M, of which $128M is going to the Calagiones and $173M to DFH shareholders.  i realize that the buyers paid way too much so this isn't apples to apples, but given that Ballast Point went for a billion i would have that that DFH would be worth more than 3 mils...

good for sam g.  he's an OG, he deserves his nest.
