Shipped to my childhood friend who lives in the Hudson Valley in NY >
She works from  home and accepts package via a signature >
Her parents visit her this past weekend in NY >
They take said package back to my hometown >
My parents pick up package and visit me this weekend in MoCO

Peep those logistics.
Dr. Fauci is rolling in his grave.

hahaha... I assumed this would be a space comment, but very expected and appropriate.

Since the pandemic began, I have bought or consumed beer in person in eight states plus the DMV. So who am I to judge.

Found a cool beer shop in C Ville called Beer Run.

Picked up 3 Floyds.  Zombie Dust. / Dreadnaught  /  Barbarian Haze

Spent the early afternoon at Napenthe today. Top tier brewery? I’d say so but others may disagree. Really nice spot.

Pretty much everything they had. Tasters of most.

The coconut lager was intriguing but I didn’t get that far.

How was this one? I had considered getting cans to compare it to the maibock I'm about the brew, but DTC sold out before i got around to it.

Didn’t get to that, either.

They didn’t have the imperial stout I wanted. The milkshakes were the least impressive, IMO. The 10% TIPA was sneaky good. Enigmatic and Space Jellyfish were also good.

Nothing stood out as amazingly spectacular but the beers were consistently good. In my book that counts for something.

Definitely going back at the end of the month after my 2nd vaccine shot. Will also visit Celebrated Summer and the skate shop. Love that area of Btown.

On way out of town C Ville, found another beer store on Main Street, and found somethings called

Allagash     Heart of Hearts

The Bruery    Frucht

Bearded Iris      Homestyle

Also, seeing how we took the back way home on the greatest road called F. T. Valley Rd . . . stopped by Pen Druid for their sour bottle releases, and spent $300 on as many bottles I could carry

The, end.

Why are the Pen Druid bottles so much pricier than their on premises draft prices?

Easy.  They are hard as shit to get except for Golden Swan . . . which should tell you something about Golden Swan.

Even easier.  They are located in Rappahannock County, where businesses since the start of the Inn at Little Washington, have learned . . . the more popular you become, charge through the roof.  "City folk" will still come.

is this true in general, or for this particular release?  because charging more for a long-aged sour than for an IPA is pretty standard...

never heard of CC, but that's not saying much
I did like to see that Black Flag got 666 votes in the semi-finals to lose to sapwood (technically they got 4th)

That CC beat Cushwa and Elder pine are some bragging rights for this week

had like only 1500 votes max per round...with 64 breweries, seems like mostly friends and family
I could find no info on this other than the link that was provided
