I thought the fees were to keep out the riff raff.

More Ticketfly weirdness:
All the Soft Sale shows are gone from the 930 TF page.

$18 in fees for MMJ for 2 tickets.  I thought MPP fees were supposed to be less?  I guess not.

sorry to bring math in to this, but $18 fees on $90 face = 20% fees.  that's lower than what we've been paying (typically around 30-40%).

did you expect there to be no fees?

Ticketfly plays the same games as Ticketmaster in that they don't release the best seats right away.  I got on-line right at 10:00 was just looking for a single and was directed toward the back of the pavilion.  I knew there were better seats available and after an hour of getting no better than Row Q, I finally settled for Row N.

Also Ticket-Fly needs to allow the purchaser to pick between GA's and actual seats.  There were tons of GA's available that I kept getting but just ended up throwing back.

Also the pick-ur-seat option was pretty useless.

The one thing I really liked is that you can hold your seats (for at least 10 minutes) while searching for better seats.

What I would like and what I would expect are two different things.  Not a problem, I'll just pay my fees to WMATA instead.

To be honest, it kind of blows my mind that people would shell out $45 for MMJ.

seth, allow me to reiterate points 1 and 2 above - randomly releasing seats, and the inability to pick between GA floor and seated pavilion, were two big problems.  it would bug me to no end knowing that someone could saunter on in hours after i bought my tickets, and get a better seat than me.  i too was looking for pavilion seats, i spent a lot of time throwing back GAs.  very annoying.  quick solution: why not price GAs a dollar more or a dollar less, so we can choose between them that way?

jeff: what "pick-ur-seat" option?  i didn't see anything like that...

Is this a ticket company problem or a Merriweather problem?  I've had the same problem with MPP tickets since the Ticketron days.  You could be first in line for a not-very-popular show and end up back in the double-letters.  I used to occasionally have great luck via TM for other venues.   I wouldn't be so quick to blame the ticket agencies for how MPP releases tickets.

Isn't that like the 6-7th row of reserved seats?  You could do a lot worse than settling for that.

Exactly my though. And I'm a fan and have all nearly all their albums.

I'd pay $25-$30 to see them at a club, but not $45 to see them at an amphitheater. But that's me I guess.
