i was driving home very slowly and carefully on friday night around 3a, avoiding cars spinning out and SUVs being too aggressive.  i almost made it home.  on a street with a nice long slow curving hill, some lovely person had decided to clear three huge snow boulders from their driveway into the middle of the street.  i slowed to go around them (into the other lane) and lost all momentum.  couldn't regain traction, so i made it about another half block until i let my car slide to the side of the road and parked.

i will admit that it was a beautiful mile long walk home in the storm, but i realized when i got home that i had parked on a snow emergency route.  i'll most likely be returning to a ticket and maybe a towed car.  i honestly have no idea where my car is right now.

yesterday was all about relaxing.  video games, movies, good food.  today i will attempt to open my door and make with the shoveling.  i'm guessing i won't be able to venture out far enough to find my car before tomorrow.  as long as i'm out by tuesday morning to get tattooed, i'm fine with being a shut in for a couple of days.

You kept referring to it as "the club." IDK, maybe you have mad jack. We could've drank some scotch in the clubhouse if you were a member.

I'm regretfully skipping the Scream show.  After shoveling all day, I still have to clear a path through the giant pile the plow created.  That ain't gonna happen at this hour.  I assume parking down there will be a nightmare as well.  Oh well...

i am the definition of snowed in.  we got 24 inches (roughly) where i am at.  i live in the country country mountains, which is the country version of the country . . . in the mountains.  my little gravel road which leads to another little gravel road which leads to the main road (which is a small, two lane paved path winding through the national forest) has been plowed by the locals a few times.  my driveway however, which is about 100 feet, is still under 24 inches.  my car is buried alive.  some melted today thank god, but i am not about to shovel when i can just eat chocolate covered cherries, play rpgs, listen to sirius, watch free porn, lay in bed all day and try to find more obscure bacon pictures.  i think i'll make the neighbors think i'm high on crack and go grill hamburgers outside tonight.  nothing like the taste of meat.

haha great post.  Yeah I was wondering what the hell do people do who have those long ass gravel driveways, like the people in the boonies.  I mean this was a huge snowfall you can't even drive over that stuff.
