Have the emails been sent out to the email blast winners?

the email said winners would be notified by noon.  still nothing here, so i'm guessing i missed out on both contests, damn it to hell

forum winners were told the same thing, and i didn't get an e-mail until 1:30 pm.  just sayin' that the noon time isn't hard-wired.

I wish this were a paid event.  If it were 10 bucks or something you would weed out people who are just entering to win something.  Plus it would probably cut down on no shows.

agreed.  i have the same feeling about freefest - is should be practically-freefest.  on the upside, free = more no-shows = more room inside.  on the other hand, it sucks that some people who want to go won't be allowed, while other who are allowed won't go.  if the club insists on making it free, have people donate $10 to a cause (maybe even offer a choice of causes).

Only on this board would people argue that it should be a paid event instead of a free event where they THEMSELVES are invited!

Or commenting that no shows to a sold out event is a bad thing. To me, that's a good thing.

That was from 2005.   Interesting about Ontario theater.  Only show I saw there was General Public with the awful openers the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.  Who could have predicted after that show that they would have become even moderately successful.

I think the reasoning behind that was that potential no-shows are taking spots away from people who genuinely want to be there.

You're not thinking of me or  anyone glad to get in for free!.. There may be some people who are getting on the list who may choose not to go but how many?

Moreover, don't you think the 930 Club has taken that into account and awarded a few more tickets?

Really its a birthday party and we're invited NOT sold a ticket to it.

That's a great thing!  They actually want us there and not just cause of our money!

LOL...  I can't believe people are bitching that it's not a paid show!

Will the Ace of Cakes people be making a giant birthday cake? And if so, can I have a piece?
