It is just now, that I am not sure what to make of this film. So many, conflicting thoughts.

Lot's of new characters and thank goodness they are not CGI

First, the use of real life puppets and creatures was so important to director JJ Abrams that he refused to polish some of his work in post because he WANTED it to look ?preposterous.? Good

I always pictured nkotb as more of a son of the Widow of Zarephath type.

come on man, you don't know your bible stuff

1 Kings 17:21 Then he stretched himself upon the child three times and cried to the Lord, ?O Lord my God, let this child's life come into him again.? 22 And the Lord listened to the voice of Elijah. And the life of the child came into him again, and he revived. 23 And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper chamber into the house and delivered him to his mother. And Elijah said, ?See, your son lives.?

only reason I know anything about the bible is Nick Cave and wikipedia
