I wish the Black Eyed Peas would have been raptured.

http://virginmobilefestival.com/#/home/  Just keep checking the website

What's the date for the 2011 FreeFest... is it definitely Sat. 9/24?

It doesn't say on the website (it just shows last year's lineup).

Foos aren't too big. Maybe it was mentioned but the guys played the fest when it was at pimlico & were on the second stage

It wasn't obvious which was the main stage and which was the small stage but I'd say Foos were on the main stage in '08. Or at least the main attraction that day. They had like 5x the crowd Jack Johnson had. Also they are billed 2nd at Lolla this year (ahead of Coldplay and Muse) and 1st at Sasquatch. That's a pretty big deal.

Seeing as half those bands are already playing MPP or almost as big area shows on their own in the coming months, it seems highly unlikely to be a real Freefest lineup.

i'm probably one of the few who thinks this and is willing to admit it, but that isn't a terrible festival lineup.  i'd be interested in DM, offspring, cranberries, STP, wilco, FM and JEW.  i'd probably check out 10 minutes of korn and/or chickenfoot, if scheduling allowed, out of morbid curiosity.  that leaves 3 bands out of 12 that i have no interest in.  any festival with a 75% hit rate is ok with me.
