Holy shit! When that article was published, bitcoins were worth $7-8 each. Now they are at $16-17.
and now they are $23,000 each!
dang, just broke $28k
we need stablecoins!  this is an insane way for a 'currency' to act
I'm happy my $100 gamble is now worth $250, but would have never considered putting $10k in there (but would have been happy with a $15k payday if I did)

current price of BTC: ~$42,000
so a country of 6.5 million has a reserve of some $30M, or a little over four and half dollars per inhabitant.  no problem on the horizon here!
