It has been a drama bomb that has encapsulated the entire city.

Bopst is a dick so I've been laughing mightily.

For once, someone genuinely apologized instead of issuing a "sorry if you were offended" non-apology.

I mean, his wife literally said "we were trying to paint his faces white and the wrong color got applied." The initial apologies from Chris, his wife, and the venue were all lame as hell.

My question is, was it done with hatred in the heart or was the guy just suffering from stupidity in the brain?

My interactions with him have led me to believe he is egotistical and a bit of a jackass. Not a racist, but just a jackass.

Very well put, betao. I will just put my legendary fisking of the jackass that he felt the need to make an account to "refute" here for the enjoyment of small children and adults alike.

Haha, that's great. Not bad, Julian.

He (used to) DJ at Balliceaux for their post-punk nights, along with another person; I was a frequent attendee for years. The other person was a great DJ for it. Bopst just played what he wanted to, didn't take any requests, and made the dance floor a very awkward space.

This almost has to be the same guys who ran Tobacco Avenue, the former RVA Onionesque site.

I'm not familiar with that one? I like the name though. How long ago was that?
