You wanna know something that you could do that would really embarrass people who are doing it. In between songs when there is a quiet moment cascading around the room . . .  Scream as loud as you can, Hey asshole, stop farting!

The National were in excellent form at Merriweather.  Compared to the Anthem show, Matt was far less inebriated.  Solid set list; the usual "hits" with a few surprises (a Grateful Dead cover, an airing of the Alligator cut "Daughters of the Soho Riots").  They returned to their standard-but-always-epic finale, a sing-along of "Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks."
