Tweedy has sucked songwriting-wise since he got rid of Jay Bennett(RIP)... is it related to Jay or is it simply that his creative well ran dry? Impossible to say.. most songwriters only have about a 10 year period of peak songwriting..

in the event you didn't know....primitives was the first name of Uncle Tupleo...then that British band broke big and they changed their name

cloud nothings - stellar, as expected
metz - after touring 1+ years, i expected these guys to be a little flat compared to the last time i saw them. absolutely not the case, and they put on one of the best rock performances i've ever seen.

yes, but they are short on words. IIRC, they played one or two new songs, but i think one was an older, unreleased song. no hints on another album.
