Also i need to stress that Space and I ARE NOW BFFs, not "ARE NOT" as my typo indicated.  After 20 years, he was everything I dreamed he'd be

I was hoping no boardies had seen my moment of shame!!

Funny thing is I just don’t think I did anything wrong but that’s the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.

I felt a strong boardie disturbance in the force last night while posted up at the front, stage left, but unfortunately didn’t run into any of you lot. It was a good show.

Ugly?  Maybe, but look at the birds I'm pulling in, and how happy she looks.

Sold out Feelies show at the Ottobar.  Very long and solid show from The Feelies.  Played usual 2 sets, but with 5 encores.  Show came in at 3 hours with 1/2 hour break between sets.  Showed started at 9 so was a late night (for me anyway). Sound was great, band played great and really enjoyed the song selection.  Almost the entire encore were covers (Doors, Dylan, Yardbirds, Stones, REM, Television (2), Patti Smith and Kraftwerk).  Wish they would've started at 8 or combined the 5 encores into 2 longer ones, but other than that I'll take 3 hours of music for $25 bucks from a great band.

I've seen the Feelies a lot of times, but this was one of my top 3 favorites probably. A really special evening...great performance and apparently they showed up feeling cranky but got so much love from the crowd that it snapped them out of whatever they were feeling. It was clear that they were really happy and enjoying themselves. Great to see some boardies there...and for being a very sold out show, everyone for the most part was pretty well-behaved.

So, to me the Feelies show had the feel of a tribal pow wow with Bill, Brenda, Stan and Dave providing the pulsating rhythms and Glenn murmuring the incantations.  There were Kachina dolls present on one of the amplifiers as well.  We left before the Patti Smith cover of Dancing Barefoot but that would have put the icing on the cake.

I thought the first set was on fire with 4 songs from the Good Earth, my favorite Feelies record.

Agree with Sir Van Der Palm, an earlier start would have been nice.

Also, we were graced by the presence of such illustrious boardies as Challenged, Vas Deferens and of course Bearman.
