Belly played a great show. I like the early bird special.

Agreed. Managed to get the drummer's set list after the show.

Got to tweedy around 740 and it was packed to the back
But just walked on the side and found a single seat about 12 rows back

Opening act was not really my thing (female go figure) so I am glad I didn’t have to sit through that whole set

Saw Nick cave in the same venue on the same day in 2018, that was a great show
Feel like that was the one k8t was on stage

Pretty sure his opening acts are members of his band?

Well probably should have given the new album at least one spin
I thought the sound was great and Jeff was in fun mood as he said he was all hopped up on sprite

I did enjoy a number of the songs on first listen
But others were kinda snoozers
I foolishly thought we might get some interesting covers and a few deep cut Wilco songs… alas not tonight
Enjoyed more than the last Tweedy tour, but not by a large margin

Don’t think I would pay $70 to see that again

Guess he just wants to make TWEEDY its own band

Guess he just wants to make TWEEDY its own band
in setlist FM it lists his Tweedy songs as 'covers' and he did do about 5 of them
I kind of thought since this was listed as a Jeff Tweedy tour and not a Tweedy tour, that we might get an interesting cover and more career spanning picks (just a few weeks ago he rolled out "please tell my brother")

edit.  we did get The Ruling Class (Loose Fur song) which he felt was appropriate for being in Washington DC
so I guess that counts, I didn't know it and was one of the better songs

one song I did enjoy last night I assumed was titled "the dead don't die"
was surprised to learn this morning it was titled "Lou Reed Was My Babysitter"

It was an enjoyable show, glad I got a good seat up front
His stage banter is really half the reason I show up

Yup best banter in the biz

He needs to put out one of those “Having fun with Elvis” records made up of the best of his between song banter!

I would buy that.  His book (and having him read it) was absolutely hysterical at times

Recently came across the Having Fun record while reading and I came up with an idea that someone should run with: "Having A Miserable Time With Fugazi On Stage". All the kvetching, bellyaching, and speechifying. With hundreds of complete shows available, I'm sure it can be done.
