Bieber boasts 17 songs on the Dec. 5 Hot 100, marking the most titles that any artist has placed on the chart in a single week. He bests the 14 each that the Beatles managed on April 11, 1964 and that Drake earned on the March 7 and Oct. 17 tallies this year.
This has happened because each song is available for streaming (both audio and video) and streams are now counted along with sales and airplay.
It also mirrors the problem of income disparity. Only the rich and connected can accomplish such chart success.
