Shes very big into those like spiralized zucchini and veggie noodles, yes. I’ll tell her you said hello.

BEN'S CHILI BOWL Ben’s Chili Bowl planning to franchise, expand beyond the DC area

Not sure what to think about this. Obviously, it's great that they've been so successful, but developments like this too often crush the brand. But if I change coasts, I'd love to take them with me.

I'm happy for them...but how can you get a half-smoke anywhere BUT on Ust at 1 AM and have it taste right

it's just mediocre fast food at any other spot IMO

I haven’t eaten there in 10-15 years! When I lived off of 14th St. it made sense to occasionally stop there when walking home from 930 but these days after a show I just want to get home and U St on weekends is insane! It’s like Adams Morgan used to be in the 90s but on steroids.

hmm, odd Chef Andres is going with the lab-grown stuff when he's such a big proponent of nonmeat-based meals
not sure how I feel about this

One of José Andrés' D.C. restaurants will debut chicken grown in a laboratory.
The celebrity chef’s restaurant is one of two in the country that’s been selected by a California-based startup that received federal approval on Wednesday to begin producing or selling lab-grown meat.
We don't yet know which one of Andrés' D.C. establishments will offer the protein alternative but we are eager to see how the chef will incorporate it into his menus.

Do we need a thread just dedicated to ketchup?
also a 'only in Michigan' thread would not go unfilled

'Colachup,' a Pepsi-infused ketchup
