"painting(s) of myself riding a horse'"
That's another of the 5 most essential commodities.

I can’t believe French luxury crap is worth that much but they say it is due to them tapping into China

It’s still wacko
He's cornered cognac and champagne, 2 of our 5 most essential commodities as humans. Its kind of ridiculous he wasn't the world's richest person already.

a Julian's Frenchman?

We must rise up against the oppressors responsible for this injustice. And by "we", I mean half of the hired help.

We can't be spread too thin -- someone has to keep the well-appointed home fires burning.

i thought the plan was to send off half the hired help to fight for what is right and noble, then hire additional staff to replace those who were sent away.  it's not like the hedges are going to manicure themselves, you know.

The hired help that remain can just double their output.

the epitome of julian's america:

Dave Chappelle Belts Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ With Foo Fighters at First Madison Square Garden Gig
Nothing has ever been less Julian's America than Dave Chapelle.

true - there is something... something... about his appearance... that doesn't quite fit in with the rest of JA.

It's not just Chapelle or his skintone: the song "Creep" is antithetical to JA. The Foo Fighters are definitely not JA.

Maybe MSG as a decrepit relic from bygone days that gets by on proximity to power and its name brand is Julian's America, but that's about it.

$3500 100lb Hockney Book, is Julian's America, Yes?
What? No. Owning an original Hockney work is JA. Or better yet, having David Hockney attend a cocktail party on your yacht. Owning a giant book isn’t JA.

It’s like none of you have learned a thing.
