Very fortunate to catch that oblique injury before it got much worse.  So there really was a reason he wasn't hitting homers after all.

Went to the game last night. Stopped by Alewife beforehand.  Surprisingly dead at happy hour time. Beer selection is good but pricey. As opposed to Camden Yards where it is bad and pricey.

Actually beer selection at Camden Yards is pretty good.  Flying dog, Leffe, Hoegarden, Goose Island, Fordham, Heavy Seas, Evo,  the brews at Dempsey Pub.  Actually I would say awesome for a major sports venue.

And remember, Wieters is eligible for free agency after next season. On the flip-side to the good news, the Orioles also provided some bad news, in the form of sending All-Star catcher Matt Wieters to the disabled list with an elbow strain. Earlier this week, it was feared that Wieters might need season-ending elbow surgery, but a visit to Dr. James Andrews brought back good news and he'll avoid surgery.
