3:49 p.m.

The Orioles just proceeded with another baseball tradition: announcing the attendance. For the first time in major league history it went, "Today's official paid attendance is zero."

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra played a free concert out in the open.

Gotta say I was totally wrong about Cruz.  The HRs keep coming, even in Seattle.

Shouldn't spend too much time in RF however.

Me too, but he didn't sign a one year deal with Seattle like he did in Baltimore.

I think most people expected a decent season out him this year (though right now he's better than I expected), and maybe even next year.  Who has the last laugh in 2017-18 if Seattle doesn't make the playoffs in 2015 or 2016?

But what if the Orioles fail to make the playoffs in 2015 and 2016 (and 2017 and 2018), whereas the one year they had him, they did make the playoffs?

"You've got to take the fourth year, man, that's security," Jones said. "Three years or four years? I mean, come on. You've got to take the fourth year."

Well, 2012 puts a little wrinkle in that theory, whereas Seattle hasn't made the playoffs in 15 years...but sure.

And I don't disagree with Jones, but it also shows how desperate Seattle was for a bat, whereas Baltimore was both not as desperate and without a GM at the time.

Last night the Nats an O's had more runs than that time when Sweetcell's twins both had the stomach flu.

I think my next game will be 6/27 versus the Indians.  I am taking my fiancée to her first game, and it is Buck Showalter Garden Gnome night for the first 25,000 fans... So it should be a fun time!  Is anyone else going to that one?

I had tickets, but can't go. I am going on the 26th and 28th though. If you don't have tickets for the 27th yet, get them sooner rather than later and get there early if you want a gnome. That game is almost sold out, I think.

And get your fiance a certificate at fan assistance for first game!
