Weeds is the best example of Showtime's insistence in letting shows play out several seasons too long (see also: Dexter, Homeland, Nurse Jackie, et al). They run their properties into the ground.

Silicon Valley was absolutely mailed in this season.

I thought it was pretty good, but then again I'm biased since Erlich Bachman is clearly based on my boarding career.

I have the residuals checks to confirm, fam. It's pretty obv. Aviato = Julian's America. Bachmanity = GwaqrBQ. Incubator house = THe Family Jules.  This shit syncs.

I introduced my brother to "Better Off Ted" and his reaction was "why did no no even tell me about this show".  Watched about five episodes and man was that show clever and funny...

Was also a fan of this season even if it was the weakest of the 3.

If you're Erlich, who's your Jinyang?

Did that ever happen?

Episode 6, but not to occur again, sadly.
So...was that a prosthetic beaver?
as there is no way she's sporting that much fur

I believe she was rocking a merkin.

I loved the first episode of HBO's The Night Of

edit...
Interesting history I didn't know

James Gandolfini was set to star
.... on May 13, 2013, HBO picked up the series
After Gandolfini's death on June 19, 2013, it was reported that the miniseries would move forward in his honor, and that Robert De Niro was set to replace Gandolfini

On April 21, 2014, John Turturro replaced De Niro due to scheduling conflicts.

Gandolfini retains a posthumous executive producing credit.

Me too. Early reviews of the entire miniseries claim it remains equally great throughout.

Master of None and Casual have been very good IMO
I could not get into either of these despite repeated efforts.

Question for watchers of Casual:

Watched the first two episodes last night, I'm kind of on the fence over whether to continue watching. The guy on the show is sooooo unappealing to the point where I don't think I can go on. Does he at some point get more likeable, or just remain a douche?

Strangers Things is so fun to watch. Got back last night and caught the first 5 episodes. I feel like they've done a super good job on having it be a nice little throwback, a thriller, a mystery, an adventure, and have funny little comedy bits too. My friend called it "The Goonies meet Silent Hill" lol. Can't wait to finish it! Although I just realized it's only 8 episodes  :-\
