I think with the latest surge...schools were happy to have an excuse to close
Still not sure why it wasn't virtual

New state law. First five snow days of the school year are snow days. All snow days after that are virtual.

FCPS closed again tomorrow. Fifth straight day.

Only three of the days were actual instructional days. Two of the days (Thurs and Fri) were relgious observance days, meaning no new material can be taught on those days....total bullshit, but that's another story....I probably would have kept my kid home Thurs and Fri anyway.

Looks like we may do it all over again next week. Though any snow day now is a virtual day.

Though there's not much school actually planned nexxt week at FCPS anyway:

Monday: MLK day, no school
Tuesday: full day school
Wednesday: No new instruction, religious holiday (11 of these during school year, WTF, how about separation of church and state)
Thursday: two hour early dismissal
Friday: Teacher workday
