i'm surprised no one has mentioned James Brown.  that's a show i'm still kicking myself for missing... i assumed he'd be back.  he always came back.

Bowie is another wish-i-coulda.

a couple of recent bands stick out to me... i've either had work commitments, travel, show conflicts, or simply i couldn't get tickets. hopefully i'll have another chance over the next few years to cross some of these off the list.

swans
the walkmen
radiohead
daft punk
the war on drugs

only "maybe" on that list is daft punk.  who knows if they'll ever tour again.  you should have a chance to see the others.
I saw James Brown.

I saw James BRown at the 930 in the late 90s. I'm glad I did but felt he was a bit over the hill...

How about the shows you went to but that you got so drunk that you layed on the ground trying to get up and couldn't see the band or the shows that you made out with some chicks you just met and didn't pay attention to the band and how although it is fun making out with two girls on the MPP lawn it wasn't worth missing the Cure's set.

Saw James at the club a number of years back.  It was the first time I brought both of my kids to the club.  Saw him again in C'ville front row absolutely dead center.  It was September of the year he passed away.

I don't think you won.   My first show ever was Shaun Cassidy at the Baltimore Arena.  My sister wanted to go and I was dragged along.

Yeah but you secretly REALLY wanted to go as well, you just used the 'dragged along' line to cover! :)

Adding one to my list I do wish I had seen Michael Jackson.
