wow listening to Tony break down track by track heros
http://originalfuzz.com/blogs/fuzz/84621252-how-robert-fripp-recorded-the-guitar-line-on-david-bowies-heroes

I knew there were a lot of layers, very cool to be walked through each one

I love how he talks about how bowie put Tony in the song

I believe that was in the works before he died.

Lorde and most of boiwe's touring bandmates (for the last few decades) do a little medley and spectacular life on mars at the brit awards

http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2016/02/24/lorde_s_tribute_to_david_bowie_at_the_brit_awards_video.html

this statement is great:
Lorde walked out to humbly perform one last classic by her hero... Lorde doesn?t particularly sound like Bowie, nor did she try to, choosing instead to just be herself. But sometimes the best way to pay tribute to David Bowie is to remember that there will never be another David Bowie.

Did she talk about how she turned what was supposed to be a Bowie tribute into an ad for Intel?

the clear comes with a download and pretty sure it was only available at barnes & noble.
why bowie why?  i do not enjoy going there...
the manassas store only received 1 copy. i had called and asked if they would hold it and they said sure.  when i picked it up i was told i was not very popular with other customers who came in earlier that day. i felt bad for a minute.

maria schneider workshop was cool, could not score tickets to the evening concert unfortunately.
she critiqued a young trio and the bohemian caverns big band and could not be kinder or more constructive.
happily signed my records and chatted a bit about the bowie sessions and was sorry he was not here to sign them himself, which was fine as i would probably have fainted.
