So it seems like there are tons of tix left @
http://www.belleandsebastian.com/tickets

So if you go directly to the BO you'll save a  $5.14 service fee per tix and  USPS Standard Mail $3.75

not looking like this will sell out (immediately) if even the fan presale doesn't sell out

Thanks Sidehatch.

Was walking through Nordstorm's the other day and "Boy with the Arab Strap" was played in the store...pretty sure I was the only person in the store singing along.  In other words, they are Nordstorm's worthy.

well if this any indication of some of their upcoming setlist...consider me excited!

        The Party Line
        Le Pastie De La Bourgeoisie
        The Power of Three
        My Wandering Days Are Over
        Perfect Couples
        The Fox in the Snow
        Nobody's Empire
        Dog on Wheels
        Legal Man
        Sleep the Clock Around

Note: recording for KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic 1/20/15 -

In a 10-song set that will be broadcast Monday, Feb. 2 on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic," the new tracks from Girls in Peacetime fit comfortably alongside the band's earlier, more folksy material ? even the slinky "Party Line," which Murdoch, looking decidedly un-disco-tastic in a tan jacket and tilted-back fedora, delivers less like a future Disclosure collaborator and more like the droll Scotsman he is, clearly relishing the track's groove but never fully succumbing to it. It's not a full-blown foray into EDM ? more a clever sequel to 2004's "Your Cover's Blown," the band's last trip to the disco.

Smackie has a new Scottish neighbor who likes wine more than beer, so we're now friends.

He also bought us tickets to the Belle and Sebastian show on April 12 in Berkeley, so I will be able to report back before your show.

Seeing them in Chicago in a week...I'm curious to see how the new material sounds live. I tried to go back and listen to the new LP recently. Some of the synths sound like Korean pop music. Not sure I'm digging the approach they took. I prefer B&S with strings and piano/organ. Digital disco isn't always the best approach, yet it seems like everyone is using technology more and more on their LPs with mixed results.

The Riviera show in Chicago (capacity about 3,500) went on sale well over a month ago...maybe 2 months ago...and it still isn't sold out. This show won't sell out that fast.

There is no way in hell the Riv is 3,500 capacity. It's the same size as 9:30.

^^^^ LOL, thanks for that.

I'm not a big fan of the new album. There are certainly some strong tracks, but as an entire album, it's not that great. Then again, I also thought Write About Love was outstanding while many panned it.
