I think the plan is to go to Atlas brewery and drink a growler in one sitting and then walk into Echostage

nice!

In case anyone is interested google maps says it's only a 16 min walk
plus I'm pretty sure it'd be easier to park there
and for free

just got back from LA, saw last nights show at the Palladium..... pretty epic, if not a little short.... played probably 80 minutes or so, but they did squeeze 24 songs in there.... it was a little surprising because the Palladium's website said they were going to play from 9:15 to 11:30, so when they walked off after an hour, I thought they were fucking with us... instead they came back for two encores and finished up at about 10:45.... still a great show and we got a killer opening set from John Doe!!

Lets face it though...LA and NYC always tend to get the better shows and guests because the national media is there so they go the extra mile...

I got an email from Bandsintown last night that said J Roddy Walston & The Business were playing at Echostage on Friday, May 8th.  Are they opening the show now?  That's pretty sweet news if so.

Would make sense seeing as they're opening the Philly show the next day as well.

I do remember some asking J Rod on Facebook a while back if there was any chance of them being added to the DC show & he straight out said nope... one night only deal.

for those who might want a tshirt, this is front/back views of the "tour specific" shirt that'll probably be sold at the merch table..... there were a couple of other shirts, but this was the only one had the tour info on it... at least at the L.A. gig, anyway.....

Replacements 2015 tour t-shirt....

they had a couple of concert posters specific for each of the two nights at the Palladium since there were different opening acts for each show, looked like they were hand drawn.... didn't notice anything else tour related, but perhaps I could've missed something, I wasn't at the table very long.... but there were other t-shirts (I think one was a "Pleased To Meet Me" shirt, and perhaps a "Tim"?) and a sweatshirt or hoody, I think.....

so how is this show not sold out?
what's the size of that venue?
they even got Superchunk on the bill....

There are just a few tickets left for the last U.S. date of the Back by Unpopular Demand tour in Philadelphia on May 9, with Superchunk and J Roddy Walston and The Business.
