so how is this show not sold out?
what's the size of that venue?
they even got Superchunk on the bill....

There are just a few tickets left for the last U.S. date of the Back by Unpopular Demand tour in Philadelphia on May 9, with Superchunk and J Roddy Walston and The Business.

It's a pretty sizable venue (6,500 people)....a lot of tickets to sell. It was one of the few that didn't go fast. If the tickets had been $35 instead of $55 (or $60 or whatever) it would be totally sold out. Philly isn't a particularly expensive city and I'm sure some folks on the fence were put off by the ticket price.

but I'm guessing that the mats will hit the stage around 9-9:30

I love this board.  For $6 I've got a reserved space in a lot .3 miles away.  Uber, you can suck it!  [I have seen the Mats twice on the recent touring jag, been quite inebriated for both, so looking forward to some sober appreciation.]
