hey it's possible there is no Minor Threat/Fugazi/Discord if it wasn't for Ian listening to Ted Nugent as a per-pubesent-punker
but that's a great meme

Although hatred of muslims in Paris pre-dates Trump by a bit
one of the things I remember from my visit to Paris in the late 80's was frequent graffiti in the Metro 'arabs go home' mostly in English

On brand (ie. asshole)

you realize that was a college football joke, right?  as an avid fan of michigan, jules doesn't like notre dame (the US school).

(oh, wait, i forgot that taking something out of one one context and making a joke about it in another because of similar name isn't allowed any more...)

you realize that was a college football joke, right?

even I got that 'joke'...

and if you thought julie was being an ass....look at this guy

@realDonaldTrump

So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!

Jesus . . . wept.
when I visited ND, we went to see the religious artifacts
they purported to have the actual crown of thorns....IMO religious people are so gullible

Can't they take that that three quarters of a billion and instead build some low income housing?

trust me, kinda feel the same way
let's spend tons of money on an old building dedicated to religion or we could literally help millions of people

In all seriousness, isn't the Catholic Church more than well funded enough to do this repair without non-believers ponying up? I'm sure they can flip over the couch cushions at the Vatican and cover this.

That said, the Julian's American in me loves the hustle.

It's owned by France, not by the Catholic Church. I didn't know that all the distances in Paris (maybe they said France?) are measured starting at Notre Dame. I'm not religious, but I do feel like it deserves to be saved because of it's influence and importance in Architecture and Art.
