Meat Puppets – Dusty Notes

I listened to this last night. The first half of the first song is really excellent but then the rest of the album is kind of a boring slog. I'll give it one more go but.... pfft

M83: Knife + Heart (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [Mute]

Knife + Heart is an erotic slasher set in a 1970s Paris. It’s directed by Yann Gonzalez and scored by M83, the band fronted by his brother Anthony Gonzalez. The original soundtrack was influenced by music found in ’70s horror films by Lucio Fulci, Mario Bava, and others.

Grimes - Miss_Anthropocene

“a concept album about the anthropomorphic goddess of climate Change.”

“Each song will be a different embodiment of human extinction as depicted through a Pop star Demonology.”

I loved Art Angels but couldn't get into the two tracks she dropped last year. Fingers crossed.

My Ipod shuffle is playing the shit out of country tonight, much to my wife's dismay. Merle Haggard, Bottle Rockets, Uncle Tupelo, Solomon Burke, Drive By Truckers, the Backsliders, Tom Waits, Dwight Yoakam, Two Dollar Pistols, and oddly, Stereolab.

But is that country? These days that is considered Americana....

There is a good article on Billboard today about female country singers...

Idlewild released another track from their forthcoming album and it harkens back to their earlier Post Punk influenced records. I suspect I will be listening a lot to this album
T.Rex

Sky Ferreira - Masochism
I like the first single
can't believe 2013 was her last release!

How'd I miss the JAMC colab? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3aXp8gf3vE

Just found my post from 2015 about it...
Sky Ferreira has announced the name of her next album.
