Anti-inflammatories may aggravate Covid-19, France advises

For fever, take acetaminophen (aka paracetamol and Tylenol) instead of ibuprofen (Advil).

José Andrés @chefjoseandres
People of America...Important News: All my restaurants in DC area are closed until further notice. Here at @ThinkFoodGroup safety of employees & guests is too priority. Some restaurants will transform into Community Kitchens to offer to-go lunches for those who need a meal. These Community Kitchens will be part of @WCKitchen  efforts across the country in the coming days & weeks. Not for enjoyment....but a service for people in need of a plate of food during this emergency. We are in an unprecedented emergency...and as painful as it is, ALL restaurants, bars, etc. must be closed across America if we are to avoid what’s happening in other countries. This is the only way. In this moment, loving each other means staying away from each other. This is about We The People. Each of us has a responsibility to act for others, not just ourselves. We are all together in this fight...and we will win.

and in case you were feeling good...here is some fucked up news from Team Trump

Brian Klaas@brianklaas
This is depraved. The German government confirms that Trump apparently tried to bribe German scientists into giving him exclusive rights to the Covid-19 vaccine they were working on developing. He wanted it “for the US only.” How many new lows will he set for the United States?

Quote Tweet Aman Batheja @amanbatheja
Germany's health ministry is confirming this bombshell story from German media outlet @welt
https://reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-germany-usa/germany-tries-to-stop-us-from-luring-away-firm-seeking-coronavirus-vaccine-idUSKBN2120IV

It’s unclear what exactly the intent was here: getting the rights to make money off selling it to other countries? Something else? This is a story that needs a lot more reporting clearly, but just when you thought you had lost your ability to be shocked by him, Trump manages.
One key point from @marceldirsus
: this is a huge news story in Germany. We need allies now more than ever to tackle a global pandemic. And instead, this is a public opinion disaster for US/German relations yet again due to Trump.

Columbia Mall to close

(fair warning: The Baltimore Sun website has a shit ton of pop-ups)

At the news conference announcing the woman’s illness, County Executive Calvin Ball also said he has declared a state of emergency and that The Mall in Columbia and other commercial gathering places will be closed for at least a week.

At home trying to get my kids to do some schoolwork

The oldest wants to film a sketch comedy called The Big Virus Theory loosely based around his home schoolwork

All Maryland bars, restaurants, theaters and gyms shut down. Carryout and delivery still available.
