IMP Family Fund:

buy a gift card/IMP matches a donation to staff fund.

Our Staff. Our Venues. Our Artists. Our Community.

We always say we have the best staff in the world, and right now they need us more than ever.

The prohibition of gatherings in the city was just extended to April 27, which frankly, is painful. The majority of our hourly staff is effectively out of work until we are able to reopen, which is why we've created the I.M.P. Family Fund to assist in these difficult times.

Starting right now, I.M.P. will match the value of every gift card purchased in the next week (through March 28th) with a donation to the I.M.P. Family Fund. Your gift card purchase is really a double whammy. Not only does it help our staff now, it is support for future concerts, artists and the venues when we reopen. (We cannot wait for that day!) What’s more, Friends With Benefits members will earn double points on the gift card purchase.

So, head on over to our merch page, and grab a gift card (or maybe a few) today to use for tickets to a future show, merch or concessions, and know that the same amount will go towards helping out our stellar team.

Thanks for posting that Challenged...some good IMP folk are hurting...

Many IMP staff hold down multiple jobs and have been let go from their other -sometimes primary- jobs...I know a few

The email I got said IMP was also going to pay staff an extra week’s check and gave staff option to donate that extra check to the fund if they wished

grateful

I got my first haircut in six months on March 10 knowing it might be my last for a while. And got my dog's hair cut on March 12.

official count of COVID-19 cases in the US:
3/15: 3,680
3/16: 4,663
3/17: 6,411
3/18: 9,259
3/19: 13,000+
source

yeah, this is going well.

for the more visually-minded, this is what the curve looks like:

we should be at well over 20k tomorrow, and 100k by monday.

We did it!

21240 as of an hour ago!

So is smoking a pack or two of cigs a day.

I know my hairstylist appreciated the business. Most people cancelled on her that day.

US mortality rate for COVIS-19 infected currently at 1.17% That will no doubt go up if they stop testing mild and asymptomatic cases.

I believe I wrote 1-2 packs a week

Whatever dude...you are exhibiting some stupid ass behavior...standing in dmv lines check...hairstylist appt check grocery stores multiple times a week check

You must think you are immune to covid and you might be ok even if you get it...but you could pass it on to someone who isn’t

The DMV line...that was pure asshattery of the highest order

WE're all going to get it, it's just a question of when. I like my chances of survival and full recovery. I also practice social distancing, and don't come into contact with anyone other then wife and kid.

The hairstylist appt was on the books for a month and was only three days after the first DC case.  Also five days before my employer mandated telework was announced. The appointment was on March 12, The DMV line (in which social distancing was practiced) was March 16. People on this Forum were still going to SHOWS on March 17/18. And would probably still be if DC hadn't shut them down. Why aren't you chastising them?

How long can you go without going to a grocery store? I'm good for about a week, but i need fresh produce and fresh fruit, that's going to help me be at my most healthy when i do get Corona.

Where you at the DMV line when I was reading articles about flattening the curve and why it’s so important? Or about how non elderly without preexisting conditions will probably be fine but THAT’s not the point

Ok well got to move on here..got to stick an ice pick in my hand...never mind

Excellent Twitter thread

Let’s talk about what happens if you get COVID19 and recover. Are you immune to the disease? How long does the immunity last? And what does that mean for your life and for the public health and economy of our society?
