If you are hearing about #covid19 “reinfections” in Asia, I can offer you my take as a virologist. The best explanation for what we’re seeing is likely due to three things...

So “3.75” means Yada is not doing so great?

You should see me trying to help my kid with the million apps he needs to do this virtual classroom...I want to scream

My younger kid is dyslexic so this closing of schools is just awful for us..my other kid on autism spectrum so the lack of socializing implied by social distancing is not good...and they were both doing so well at school

But am still not willing to say let’s kill the old and weak

Md. Gov. Larry Hogan issues ‘stay at home’ order

It will be interesting to see if keeping people indoors really helps at all. I personally hope that they don't put this into effect in VA.

https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/03/27/coronavirus-q-a-part-3-is-hiking-ok-is-my-newspaper-infected-what-about-sex/

Q: How do I limit my exposure while hiking outside? When passing people heading in the opposite direction on a narrow trail, is there a risk of contracting the virus from the air, or in the air on the trail that they came from? What keeps me from from picking up their viral spray?
A: Outdoors on the trail, where there’s a breeze, the virus will probably be quickly killed by ultraviolet light from the sunlight. If a person is coughing and passes closely, it’s potentially possible that the virus could be transmitted. But the risk is exceedingly small.
In still air, the virus can remain suspended for up to about three hours. So if you walk into a room after somebody has been coughing, it’s possible that you can get infected droplets that are suspended in the air. But outdoors, I think it’s highly unlikely.
In hospitals, we consider a risk of substantial exposure somebody who has been within six feet for four minutes.

OMG Hungary

Was just going to post this. Is it worth giving up our Democracy to save sick old people?

Hungarian Parliament passes bill that gives PM Orbán unlimited power & proclaims:

 - State of emergency w/o time limit
 - Rule by decree
 - Parliament suspended
 - No elections
 - Spreading fake news + rumors: up to 5 yrs in prison
 - Leaving quarantine: up to 8 yrs in prison
