I just tell her I love her, stay isolated, nice talking to her, I but I gotta go now. The sad and ironic thing was my mom had a place out on the country in isolation and sold it a few months ago so she could go live in a senior center, where she could meet people and socialize more.

The person I feel really bad for is my brother, who lives in the same town with her. And got laid off once this happened. And who has a wife who apparently believes the same BS my mom does (he doesn't.)

No talk of G5 yet, I don't let the conversation get that far.

Deaths seem to be trending down finally

It always looks like that on Mondays.  Reporting slows down over the weekend.  Plus, deaths trail existing cases by 10-20 days, and cases haven't really dropped yet.

2000+ on Friday
1800+ on Saturday
1500+ on Sunday

Are you saying reporting of deaths slows on weekends or reporting of new cases?

Number of new cases has been steadily around 30K for the past seven days (ranging from 25 K to 35K). I think that's much more a function of number of people being tested than number of people actually sick.
